A portrait session without preparation is a portrait session that relies on luck. The Portrait Consultation removes luck entirely — replacing it with understanding. Before your session, we spend time talking about what you want from your portraits, where they will be used, how you want to feel in them, and what has worked or not worked in photographs of you before.
This is also where we discuss styling: what to wear, what colours work for your colouring and the intended background, whether hair and makeup is wanted, and how to prepare your skin for photography. These are the details that separate a session that produces one good image from a session that produces twenty.
The consultation is completely free with every booking. It takes thirty to sixty minutes, happens by video call or in person, and changes the quality of everything that follows.
